Cassiopeia has 2 very low cooldowns, Q and E. W isn't worth bothering with and R isn't really either.
With glyphs, I say 3
Greater Glyph of Magic Penetration and 6 Greater Glyph of Scaling Ability Power. Items should be more AP/survivability.
Also: Cassiopeia is pretty much outdone by Karthus. If you want a low-CD AP bastard, Karthus is so much better, I think. Cassiopeia herself is viable though, if you insist.

Cassiopeia has one thing that Karthus does not. Which is some pretty nasty CC... two different characters imho... and he range is painful too x_x
7. Shouting Demacia, either irl or in /all, has been known to improve your game play.

Okay okay so she has a slow and a slow/stun. Karthus has a slow and attack speed debuff. Still not THAT different. Cassiopeia is viable, but I prefer a good Karthus to a good Cassiopeia.
This "long range" I have not heard of...I don't think its that long personally, its not short but its not
Lux-huge.

Yes while it's not as big as lux's or karthus' Q range, it's still quite above the most champions range.
Q&W&R got 850 range and E has 700 range. On top of that, don't forget that all her skills are easily spammable. Personally I think that she has a huge harassment/zoning potential due to those facts...

Cass is viable (her Q is even OP), but her W is pretty much useless.
