If that team just has 4 AD carries and 1 AP carry, you guys would have a lot of fun bursting down those squishy moh effers. But to the actual post. It seems to me like you would build corresponding to your lane, so you can win it more easily. Then if you win your lane, you'll most likely be up in gold and be able to then build accordingly to the other threat. So my answer is "depends who you lane against"

Always counter the AD.
You don't even have to do team fights if you're afraid of a big scary AP. If one person gets fed you can always single them out with focus or by picking off his team mates. One person can only do so much.
