League of Legends (LoL) Question: Is AP mid shaco any good?

As far as I know, I don't think he's good for any comp.
1.He has terrible wave clear and laning phase and no poke. Also terrible team combat presence.
2.His damage is not that applicable, despite good scaling on his W,E and R and doing well with lich bane, he's easily countered by a ping ward and good teamwork. Not to mention Lich Bane basically tells the opponents who's the real one.
3.Any things AP shaco does, AD shaco can do, and require less resource with more usage.
In brief, laning Shaco is a dead Shaco. If you're looking to one shot people in the face with Lich Bane, use Viktor or Nidalee.

Ap Shaco mid isn't that great, but it is pretty fun to mess around with I went 19/2 with full mejais's at one point as Ap shake. Its honestly not viable but pretty fun to mess around with in normals.

Hes gonna have very hard time in the midlane because of his early waweclears hes poke potential isnt the worst but he wont have opportunities with his invisibility such as jungle shaco + Q wont be dealing damage and will just be used as a mobility skill.Hes ultimate works very well against mid champions that need timing on their ultimates such as and sometimes flying spears of death

He is fun and if played correctly could work, be he lacks any real mid lane power as his kit just isn't aimed towards it. Against some champions it can work ( Zed, Talon, Xerath ect) thanks to his high mobility and ultimate.

You'd have to be a great mid laner to make him work most of the time as his damage isn't very good so essentially you'll be roaming a lot more, if you don't roam then there is no point playing shaco (and steal enemy jungle camps early for level advantage!)

try him in top lane. so much better. there is a guy that made a ap Shaco top lane guide. and he plays him in challenger or diamond i think.
