    Toxicity

What is the standard deviation of toxicity in league? And further, what is the least toxic rank? I'd rather be in a non toxic rank than the best rank.

I think you're chasing a fairytale if you're looking for a place with low toxicity.

Personally I instantly mute anyone who is even mildly annoying (e.g question mark pings, pinging items and players, etc). I have no patience for these people.

You're going to run into toxic people at any rank. Like Prate_k said, your best option is just to mute people who are toxic in chat, or just mute everyone at the start of the game if you prefer. You really don't need the text chat to play ranked. Very few people use it constructively.

That said I think my best experience was in Gold, so that could be the least toxic maybe? I've never played at Master/Challenger level so it might be ok up there. Bronze and Plat (and diamond 5) are often considered the most toxic ranks but it's hard to say for certain with just anecdotal data.

From the top of my head... it's 0 when you mute everyone at the game start.

Toxicity is inevitable and even if one ranks up or ranks down, the toxicity stays nearly the same. In my experience, there are always some people who look down on the rank one plays on even if that is diamond.

IMHO, there is one kind of exception where people tend to be more toxic. That exception is made of "hardstuck" people. More they stay at the rank they are; more careless, aggressive and arrogant they become. I wholeheartedly advise to stay away from such people wherever possible. I've had such experiences in other e-sports games like OW and that has been the exact opposite of "pleasant" for me so far.
