Is pyke mid still good and viable in your opinion

He used to be insanely good, and I used to love to play him while his Q-tap could hit multiple targets and did more damage.
He used to be and IS a great roamer and assassin. If you land a kill on 6 in your lane, you W down the river and gank your bot lane, making 2 more uses of your ult, which is once again great.
He's not that great of a pick any more for mid lane, but he definitely has potential if you're able to farm and manage trades when you farm.

To be fair, it really depends on your midlane matchup. Most matchups really destroy and if you manage to get behind just by a little bit, you're screwed.

Otherwise, he can be a really decent pick.

Ummm not really man, im in p1/d4 elo actually and nobody know how to play vs Pyke.
On lane i usually destroy my opponent 1v1 (except **** zed with 41242141 burst on 3 lvl) after laning phase i can just run through whole map without any penalty and just catch up kills with R and oneshot ppl with my autos...
In late game pyke is squishy as hell bcs rito nerfed his HP (170 less) but i can cc whole team with E catch up with Q and just finish them by R.

it's not too bad at higher elo if you know your sidelines can carry! play safe until roam opportunities and look to scale from free ganks on either side lanes at level 6! hope this helps!

Ok ok i just wanted a opinion haha im his midlane main and i think he is totally sickkk!!
He can carry solo still with hail of blades ;v

His roams are nasty, laning phase is quite meh cause Q nerf therefore Tiamat is there but still kinda slow. IMO Pyke mid isn't bad but you need to roam everytime and make sure to end the game. If your roams are successful, (assuming you'll have some kills with your Ult) your team will have a massive lead and can snowball because they have practically two junglers. But as always, Don't int, Roam A Lot, Get A Lead, and End!

Im a Top/Midlane pyke main. And I can say that he has so many good matchups and I have nearly no problem against most of the champs. His kit is just perfect for a sololane in addition with Hail of Blades its just perfect... If you fall behind. you are still in the game. if you get 1 R kill - you are 2 kills ahead so Pyke is a very good snowball/carry champion for SoloQ and also good in higher elo ^^

Hail of Blades might actually give you a chance on solo lanes, cause i think with any other rune you dont have enough damage to win mid or top. CaN you give me a rune page and a core build?

it depends how you play. i have seen playing yYasuo support and was one of the best support. so you can play what ever you want. just practice

for me he really doesnt offer much. i mean he cant outdamage anyone and cant clear quick enough. good roam potential tho. its really up to you i think
