    My friend start to play LoL whet it is released, he said that season 1 or 2 of LoL is very interesting because of the powerful yi because yi can be built an ap type, is that true??

    Yes.

    Alpha Strike used to have an AP ratio and Yi's ult used to grant instant refreshes, making Yi an extremely strong reset / clean-up champ with his Q.

    Was a permaban champ before.

    It is important to note here, although it goes without saying, that AP yi is NOT relevant anymore.

    he plays pretty much the same as ap yi used to except that the heal is less strong right now.
