    Starting

    Good Day,

I am a new player to League of Legends, and a friend recommended me to visit this page for help.

However can you people please help me and tell me what are the best champions to start playing.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Mundo Malphite Kassadin Katarina are kinda hard to play in blind picks. If you dont know how to trade and positioning in teamfights...

Note that I'm saying these things from a beginner perspective. Gragas has inherent sustain and a long range / radius poke. The only thing beginner gragas players need to know is to when to go in. Likewise for Kass.

Also forgot to add Pantheon to the list.

gragas it's pretty easy, the other day my brother has to left the game and i take his place, he was 0 2 in lane with gragas vs morgana, it was my first time with gragui. I end up the game 5-2-4. If you know how to land skillshots it's not difficult at all

Since you are just starting the game I recommend playing some cheap champions that are good.

These are all cheap champions that are good for starters.

Oh and welcome to League of Legends :)

I would recommend supports, some junglers and some ADC too. I agree with these champs except Ryze and Master YI sice they are not so perspective in current Meta. Sivir and Tristana are super easy and strong ADC. You can jungle with Warwick Nunu and Fiddlestick without runes. Annie Soraka Sona Janna Taric for supporting...

garen is a solid tanky champion, very easy to play.
ashe is a good adc and also easy
nunu is probably the best champion to pick if you want to try out jungle since he basically has a second smite.
ryze is probably one of the better mids to try out first but that lane typically has higher skill champions in it anyway.

top lane is almost always tanks or ad bruisers (although some weird stuff happens) so it is probably the easiest to pick up for a first time player since tanks can be more forgiving of mistakes and generally live more (who would have guessed)

adc is typically part of the duo bot the biggest issue new players will have with this is that the champions are squishy and rely heavily on your farming. Graves is pretty much the tankiest adc and his kit is pretty simple to understand, not the simplest but not super complicated. plus it has a lot of aoe which can help with farming.

Alongside adc is the support role: sona is a pretty typical support. she is squishy but she doesn't rely on skillshots, besides her ult which is big anyway, and she offers sustain, poke, and a movespeed steroid/slow (if used properly) fairly easy to learn.

Mid is typically ap or assassin characters but not always. Usually the champions there require a bit more skill than others as they will use full combos or may have certain parts of their kit that require some knowledge of the situation. Karthus might be good for someone new because of his kit. there is a skillshot in the q and it might be a bit awkward to get used to but otherwise he has a slow wall and a big aoe, and then his ult. but mid is a bit higher level of skill.

Jungle i would not recommend until you understand the game and feel confident in doing it. Duo top for your early levels, probably even up til level 20, would be best instead. but i would recommend Nunu and Warwick. Nunu has a second smite on a low cooldown in his q and he has a sustain along with it. warwick just has sustain in his passive and his q.

this is my input on it. i'm trying to pick champions that have defensive strength and aren't devoid of damage. forgiving champions. i don't really know what to recommend for mid lane because of the situation there. my suggestion on that is to try out as many mids as possible when they are free and find something that works specifically for you. also i'm not a pro so i can't tell you exactly what to do.

In order for the name of the champion to appear like on the top rated comment, you just write the champion's name between squared brackets
    Code:
    [[gragas]]
    =
    Gragas
