Why not make Maw of Malmortius core? You gain the same attack damage as The Black Cleaver plus you get magic resist to further compliment your runes, masteries, and Stone Skin. Plus with the passive you gain more AD with more health you lose which let's face it going against"

"If you are taking him mid against most AP carries Maw of Malmortius should be core on him over The Black Cleaver. AP mids normally do not have a lot of armor therefore you can wait on finishing that item even if they buy Seeker's Armguard, The Brutalizer should be able to handle it. "
