So I've noticed that the community doesn't approve of Pre-30s writing guides, or even asking for a review.
And I was just wondering, is there a particular reason why? I know it's partially because of most people not knowing the 'meta' for level 30 games, but on my server, people have already started jungling pre-30.
So in the end, we come back to the beginning, is there actually a specific reason why? Other than the normal 'Oh you haven't played a ranked game yet'?
Thanks.
:)

Because pre-30 meta is completely different from level 30 meta, left alone ranked meta. Yes, people have already started jungling, but the difference is HUUUGE nonetheless.
Besides that, people below level 30 just lack skill and knowledge overall.
Couldn't have spelled it better myself.
An example of what Luther is saying is something like: pre level 30 players like to build full tank items or full damage items so they can just run into fights. A pre lvl 30 may make a full tank talon guide or something to that degree. While that may be able to work it is not the best way to play it. Building for for pre lvl 30 will set you behind other players in terms of builds.
I see what you mean. I try a lot of guides just to see what works best and I agree you can't just run one item style when going into a fight like that. Maybe if there was a way to direct help toward lower level players, so they can gain experience with champs and could help them learn how to use them better. I know most of the guides I have followed kinda left me on my own when it came down to playing the champ with the specified build. I have seen a few but none ever really went into detail.
The thing is, there really is very little difference between what works best at any skill level in this game in terms of items/runes/masteries. Being directed at pre-30 players doesn't excuse a guide for being bad in these areas; in fact it makes it even worse because experienced players can generally tell when something is wrong whereas newer players might end up with a lot of misconceptions.

Maybe specify in the build guide that it's directed to under level 30 players? That would keep those who are trying to look for ranked guides from down voting it. Or at least it should... You never know! XD

If I see one from you I will be sure to check it out!
A 6 year old child that has just started playing a sport.
Or a 20 year old that has been playing the sport since he was 6.
Take it even further and make it an elite player of that sport.
Not enough experience, doesn't know the fundamentals / mechanics of level 30 play.
Tldr; Experience = credibility, hence the level 30 rule
This for the most part.
However is is completely possible for some who has never played the game to write a good guide, but that would only be due to countless hours of research and watching people as or against the champion you would be writing the guide about and a very thorough knowledge of the game.
in other words the game 100% different at level 30, and best to wait till then to put the finishing touches on a guide
Also, even if you and your team are awareof the meta, that doesn't necessitate that you know the finer aspects of the game. For example timing jungle camps, times to invade or protect your buffs, making your build flexible to the situation and who the real target on the enemy team is.

Pretty much this. Pre lvl 30 doesn't even come close to post 30 games.
