Right now AP Maokai is not playable and you should go for a tanky support build if you want to play him bot lane right now, though I wouldn't r"

Actually lower elos trend more towards the relic shield as it is safer and doesn't take as much skill to use (similar to how high elo supports take mostly ignite while low elo supports take exhaust). Maokai"
