Posted a Comment: Nov 22nd, 2012 "For Garen it does matter who is doing the ranged poking.  Cho and Teemo have ranged pokes, but Garen does pretty well against them and even counters Cho.  On the other hand, if it's someone like Elise or Nidalee doing the poking, then Garen is pretty much screwed. "

The best thing for me about Garen is the versatility of his build since all he really needs to succeed is Mallet, Mogs, and Atmas. I play top lane a lot and Garen is always one of my first choices "
