Great..just great..not only do I have to be sick but now I get this news..Fairy Tail anime is getting cancelled. First the Bleach anime and now Fairy Tail. Worst news I've gotten in a long time. I better not play ranked cause if I do I'm just gonna rage hard if I get noob teammates and I'll start playing bad like them.

Though it is just a guess. Whatever the case is, if he has good news then it is undoubtedly related to the anime somehow continuing.
Onto another note, while I have never been an avid fan of the series, I really did love it and find it quite controversial.
Did you know that fairy tail is one of the very rare anime's that take a world approach to their anime? That is, they don't pick the main character, set them down and surround them with a plot and character's.
Instead, they create the world, place the main character in there and have them connect with other's in the world to create a mingling net that surrounds them. That is to say, your not just experiencing Lucy's journey and adventures with her friend's, but rather your experiencing the guild's journey and adventure's through her eyes with it all being centered around 4 people in the guild.
I do not make sense, but yeah. I quite liked it, not sure if it was something the manga did or the anime though.
Unless the news is about the anime continuing then no other news will be any good.
If you ask me Fairy Tail has 2 main characters (Lucy and Natsu) for a reason. Lucy is the one who narrates the story and tells the viewers about her adventures with Fairy Tail. However she doesn't always win her battles and sometimes even loses. Hiro has been known for trolling Lucy a lot (she lost to Flare even though it was technically her win and then she got beat by Minerva). Some people say that Lucy shouldn't even be a main character but that's the reason why Natsu is also a main character. He fills in where she can't. Natsu almost always wins his battles and makes up for Lucy's/the guild's losses. The story isn't entirely centered around him but you have to admit that without him Fairy Tail wouldn't be any good. He's Fairy Tail itself. Without him almost all of the Nakama Power and the Fairy Tail spirit will be gone.
If either Lucy or Natsu were removed from the series it would really ruin Fairy Tail.

The anime itself has undoubtedly hit a wall, whether its from lack of money, commitment, or a change of pace, I don't know. Whatever it is, this is not the end.
Even in that post, mashima has posted a statement which leads me to believe their are reasons for the stop in production that could potentially make you, the fans, extremely happy.
I have seen it in a few anime's, such as Soul Reaper.
They only stayed true to the plot for part of the anime, before diverging from it until eventually killing it off altogether in an end that is non-existent in the actual manga. This was because they had gone too fast, too hard, without any real direction in the anime and had past the manga.
In realisation of this, they decided to cut it off and told everyone that a new Soul Reaper anime would come out at a later date that would stay true to the manga's story.
Something similar is probable here.

T.T .........I loved the Bleach Anime and I was sad when it ended but I have to admit that Fairy Tail ending is even more sad for me...srsly fk life
