"IMO Fervor is better in the midlane where your goal is to deal as much dmg as quick as possible, aka Burst.
In the top lane I prefer Grasp since it gives you that extra sustain in duels, in which you then have more sustained dmg rather than Burst."

I've tried the Cleaver route aswell, and it works fine.
Although I would go Cleaver against tankier Comps.
Ohmwrecker is better if you/your team are/is ahead, if you're behind it doesn't really benefit you.
