"Climbing that elo isn't the same as playing a regular game.
What you have to do is
1) Always stomp your lane. If you lose your lane once then dont get your hopes up to win. Even balancing out with your enemy doesn't do anything.
2) Make plays / good calls. Call your team to complete objectives"

The support doesn't have to be a tank. Soraka Sona Janna aren't tanks
Most "tanks" don't even exist anymore in this game. People build offtank items on pretty much every champ now.
