"I checked probuilds.net and I found a mix of players maxing W and E first. Most of the people still maxed out W first. Maybe it's just some players' preference but I haven't noticed it before."

"No no no, Trinket is mandatory and then instruct people that you generally replace Haunting Guise later on or upgrade it. Saying that you mostly don't reach that game time is a lie and a guide is supposed to inclde this possibility too.
