In my experience, whenever a kassadin isn't banned on draft AND he is picked, people just try to screw his farming over (me included, since I'm usually mid) and it works wonders. "I upvote this guide for the indept about it, althought I think that most indepth guides almost require one to give some lane examples on how to outdo other opposing mages/survive their counters.
