"1. Tone down all graphics in LoL.
2. Clean the laptop fans, and possibly change the cooling paste. I had this done, cost me just 50 euros.
3. Take a break from LoL and wait for your new laptop.
That's about it, everything that remotely worked fixing my problem, which is quite similar to yours."

Going for plat, but recent struggles with my laptop have been keeping me from playing a lot. Confident I'll make it out though, laptop's been fixed.
@OTG: It's pretty doable as support only once you're high silver. At least that's my experience with it ^^"

But really, what else do you want to place at optional late game items? It really depends on how the game goes, you're not buying a Banshee's Veil if the enemy only has AD champs... etc.

"Just to be clear; this is the way I play Thresh. It fulfills my needs, and I figure therefore it will fulfill other people's needs as well. Apparently I've made a mistake; a guide is more of a learning curve for the author and a popularity contest, instead of teaching others.
