On a side note, my friend played Shen once and got something like 17/3/12 while going with a full tank build. The rest of my team was like "OMG BAD TANK" as he proceeded to carry the game for us"

This would have to give a substantial amount of ability power - for example, Needlessly Large Rod gives 1 AP per 20 gold while the B.F. Sword gives 1 AD per 37 gold.
