So in most of my games I never go navori just because while the combat stats are nice, it's a lot more consistent to be building items that offer more durability for less dmg such as Black Cleaver and Sterak's Gage like you mentioned in your comment. The damage% ratio to gold spent doesn't drop "

Thornmail relistically is only good against full ad situations and you can never use it's grevious wound to the full potential since Garen doesn't have any cc. Mortal temin"

So my stance on Triforce still remains the same, its a great item if you have a lead and you want to push that lead through splitpushing as well as providing you with more DPS vs most champions. However in general Stridebreaker will always be more consistent just because it brings more utility "
