Rushing Rod of Ages is bad on Ryze.
AP is worthless early game, though a late-game deathcap isn't as bad.
The passive isn't a big deal either. You don't HAVE to worry because a few patches ago, they made the stats more upfront. T"

Jungle Shaco - Easiest Champion to wreck early game?
I noticed that although all champions can start at multiple routes, Shaco's start is the most fragile. o.o
If 4 people scout enemy red camp, and ruin his JitBs and 1 person wards Blue champ,...

If it scales, Wit's End would become too much of a hard counter to mana-users.
Lots of low-mana individuals are already easily wrecked with it.
It's only those who choose to build high MP with RoAs, FHearts, BVs, and AAs that get real defenses against it.
