"Jarvan should never start with a Ruby Crystal (nor should anyone really) as he doesn't have that natural sustain, the Regrowth Pendant you listed as alternative should pretty much always be what you start with which you turn into a Philosopher's Stone asap.

"Just used this build and succesfully survived a game. My team however was very upset with me, though I'm pretty sure they were just jealous I was able to survive and they were not.
