I actually find Dominion quite fun. It isn't as tactically satisfying as SR, but it isn't supposed to be. It's perfect for dropping in, having some fun, and then heading back out.

"Maokai is a great choice if you dislike the squishy supports. While I hesitate to call him a support (he is so powerful in the jungle and as a solo laner), he can set up kills all day long for your laning partner. He also scales into a great end-game tanky AP.
