"I think Archangels should always be very late on Ryze because the AP is not that great and it offers no other defense/utility. My experience is that Ryze needs to be in a lane to stack his tear, and he can get zoned off his stacking if he does badly, because he has zero skillshots."

"Well, I realized I'm wrong about the AP quints. Doesn't take away the fact that AP blues suck though because of the opportunity cost of giving up MR for dubiously useful AP. Whereas with AP quints, you give up gold per 10, which is still okay (and seems to be the trend nowadays)."
