"I'm not 100% sure if altars still cure diseases, but that was how they worked in Oblivion.
I got mine cured by some people belonging to an anti-daedra group I randomly found walking on the road towards Winterhold."

"I'm already past Elven equipment, and I've been taking Lydia everywhere with me for some time now. I swear to god, first day I took her with me she saved my ass from dying at least three times. Now I mostly just use her to tank stuff for me. :P"
