Views: 747 What these Nidalee Changes Really Mean

So I'm not anyone important, but this is just my interpretation of the Nidalee changes, I'm Gold Div. 3 and Nidalee is definitely my main and I've probably played about 1200 games with her. So I'm not trying to talk myself up, but I feel like I understand her pretty well.
Anyway these are the changes, so let's take a look:
No longer gains Magic Resist per level
Swipe
Ability Power ratio increased 0.6 from 0.4
Aspect of the Cougar
No longer grants bonus Armor or Magic Resist
The Swipe change is pretty minor, it's not really compensation for bruiser Nidalee, and only compensation for AP Nidalee.
No longer gaining MR per level is pretty huge, more so for mid lane, but it still effects top lane Nidalee and late-game.
No longer gaining flat MR and Armor for cougar form is a pretty substantial change. If anything this is pretty substantial to bruiser Nidalee more than AP nidalee.
So in a whole, I think the changes are pretty bad for bruiser Nidalee, and while I don't know for certain, I think riot wanted to limit the power of AP Nidalee in mid lane because she was such a safe pick, but I think what happened was these changes are actually pushing Nidalee into mid lane and out of that bruiser top role. Now I could be wrong and maybe they want to limit the power of AP and not bruiser Nidalee.
With these changes, Nidalee will be a substantially weaker bruiser top lane. It wasn't too long ago that she got armor and mr per rank of cougar form, I'm kind of curious as to why they totally removed it, rather than bringing it down to 10 flat, which was initially. Additionally, since Nidalee is weaker top lane, I actually see her being forced into mid lane and force into AP nidalee, not to say that she won't be viable top lane, but it's a pretty substantial nerf. Even then, the ratio increase won't compensate bruiser Nidalee for the loss of defensive stats because the most AP you buy is Iceborn Gauntlet's or Trinity Force, both of which are pretty minor.
Ultimately, I think Riot has either a pretty short memory or poor understanding of Nidalee game play. As i mentioned earlier, Nidalee received armor and mr value buffs just a couple months ago, so that she could go in and use cougar form abilities late game as an AP champ. Totally taking that away isn't going to make her want to go in. Additionally, such a minor AP ratio increase isn't enough of an incentive to make her want to get into the fray of battle and swipe her opponents. As per the problem before, AP Nidalee players aren't going to go in with cougar form, especially if they now have no armor and MR.
I'm not sure if that's what is going to happen, we'll have to see how it pans out, but that's just my interpretation of the changes. I think she'll still be able to go top lane, bruiser, and even ap top on some occasions, but on a whole, I think she's being forced into a mid lane position
Also please note that I'm not saying Nidalee does or doesn't need nerfs, I am saying however, these nerfs are targeted in the wrong areas

nid top's focus was playing passive and poking until 6 then being able to trade evenly with abilities through cougar form. now with the nerfs nid's gonna have trouble :/
