"I definitely feel like they reduced his lifesteal too much. That's why I suggest building more lifesteal, or building more tanky. It's pretty sad but at least there are ways around it."

"You're quite right about all of your points. aatrox, more than ever, needs to be built correctly to do well. His easy-to-escape abilities are why I find frozen mallet to be so useful, and his lack of mobility make items like dead man's plate and youmuu's ghostblade very effective.

"That's a fair point. The problem with aatrox using either of those is that it requires the champion to use abilities quickly. aatrox has a sort of tempo to his casting, and doesn't just rapidly spam abilities.
