AD has crazy damage from Q, R, and auto attacks, but almost none from W and E.
AP has crazy damage from W, E, and R, and decent damage on Q. But practically no damage on auto attacks

I'd say, try jungling to see how it goes, if not solo top or w/support bot like you've said.
I'd imagine his clear time is fairly good, AoE, armor reduction, and attack speed increase.

Xin Zhao, Sivir, Gangplank, Nocturne are all good Attack Damage/Attack Speed champions
Some really good Attack speed on hit effect champs would be Teemo, Shyvana, Kog maw
I'd say a good bet to try is Noc, he's so fun, has amazing dam"
