I didn't think I needed it either, but it truly helps in laning phase to really stay there as long as possible. Darius has very good base damage values and rushing GP5 items is fine because he really doesn't need"

He gets killed much too fast with an AD carry build. I also have a video detailing why he works works well with little to no attack damage anyway."
