"Nah. You get LW by third item anyway. Using E for damage is generally prety silly unless you know its a 1v1 scenario."

That almost never happens at mid lane. And even then, you normally use hammer E for the disengage instead of the damage. Cannon E has a static cooldown, so it's not really wurf."
