If you are looking at Ryze guides because they start with the crystal, they do that because mana adds damage to his spells. Your guide lacks MR...kind of a proble"

A sunfire cloak would do more damage, its not dependent on their ad/as or their tenacity, plus it provides hp (which is kind of lacking) in addition to the armor. It also synergizes better with the RO (and the hp synergyzes with all the MR)."
