"I get it (BT) on AD TF, or any champion that wants to sustain a push with the lifesteal it provides and take turrets (auto-attacks). But those champions are rare and not many can use that strategy."

"Pros run zerker's because they like to be able to lsat hit easily. I go zerker's when I my team needs more CC early and when I take more points in Frost Shot early. It works well if you can build your Phantom Dancer quickly and keep your MS high; but overall it is mostly preference."
