"wut.
If you don't think math is a "reliable avenue for functional application for returns for investments", what are you doing in the Theorycrafting forum?
Math is the way of understanding games that are all numbers, like LoL. LoL doesn't even have RNG outside of crit and the late dodge."

"That's probably why they're generic :D They make sense.
Anyway, nice job!"

"I included the interaction with Infinity Edge's crit chance and crit damage. ((.75*1)+(.25*2.5)-1=.375) The .25 is the 25% crit chance and the 2.5 is the 250% crit chance. As I said, "This value increases dramatically with crit, which is an argument both for a later buy of Infinity Edge as well"

"It's a fine guide. Very descriptive; uses plenty of links.
The only thing I have a problem with is that it seems awfully generic, but who am I to argue against your item choices?"

"Great guide, with a nice section on Last Whisper ;)
I am now in love with this way of playing Caitlyn. Thanks! +1"

"^This DPS calculation doesn't factor in armor, which is, like, the entire point of Last Whisper.
This is DPS before armor."

""Theorycraft is the attempt to mathematically analyze game mechanics in order to gain a better understanding of the inner workings of the game."
I'm sure there's evidence for using Infinity Edge early as a carry; I do it all the time. But why is it a better start than Last Whisper?"
