If you are planning to go a little tanky, then you can try it out. Because you would deal a lot less damage more slowly making you stay in fights much longer which then can help you utilise this...

Like @moon827 said its mostly effective on bruisers, because you have sustain and damage. With assassins you go in burst then go away. You need to keep the fight going on for more than 4 seconds,...
