Hello everyone, this is going to be my first blog on MobaFire. My name is Austin, better known as ProxAzn on the gaming network. I'm just a regular gaming Asian who enjoys playing LoL and Xbox. I recently started playing League of Legends in the Summer of 2011. My friends and I were becoming extremely bored of playing TF2 (Team Fortress 2), Terraria, and other Steam games. PJ, or Bodacious27 decided that he wanted to try an MMO (Massive Multiplayer Online) and found LoL, little did we know that this wasn't an MMO, but a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena). My cousin Daniel, or Kroxston was the first to download it before all of us and when he took the tutorial, he was the first to realize that it was a strategy game.
My first impression on this game was the fact that it looked similar to World of Warcraft. How naive I was. As I progressed through this game I became madly in love with it, probably because I'm actually good at it. I usually play FPS (First Person Shooter) games on Xbox, and let's just say I'm terrible at COD (Call of Duty) and Battle Field, however I was fairly good at Halo. When it comes to COD and Battle Field, I have the reflexes of a dead cat... or something dead, but in Halo, you actually have a shield and some time to respond. But never mind about that, let's get back to the matter at hand, League of Legends.
Anyhow, I was pretty good at League of Legends, and before I even knew it, I became level 30. The first champion I ever bought was Cho'Gath, he was F2P (Free to Play). My first impression was, "Wow a big cool monster thing, probably pro." I was thinking about Renekton, but PJ took him first. Cho'Gath was a very interesting champion to play in Co-op VS AI (Yes that's right, we played Co-op VS AI the first time we play LoL). I look back now and wonder what I bought for Cho'Gath, ah the memories. I still decide to go back to my roots and play Cho'Gath, though I'm not as good as I used to be. I was beginning to play this game even more and started getting better at it, however, I couldn't say the same for some of my friends. Though, I have to say, my friends are pretty good now. Eventually, I started playing this game at my Dad's House and My cousin, Triet, or ShockGangsta saw me play and became madly in love with it as well. In fact, I would say he's more addicted than me :3.
Anyway, enough about me and my history. Let's talk about Viktor. I just Insta-bought him today and I do NOT regret it. A few things I have to say about him,
Pros:
1. Very nice CC (Crowd Control) Due to his W skill, Gravity Field, and the Silence from his Ultimate, Chaos Storm.
2. Great Nuker
3. Can have a lot of ability power due to his passive
4. Tons of AOE (Area of Effect)
5. He's got a third arm and can shuffle.
Cons:
1. Squishy
2. Abilities' ranges are short
3. Runs Out of Mana Frequently
4. Movement speed is slow
5. His E skill, Death Ray, is fairly difficult to aim
A really good nuking order I found is, W,Q,E,R, Ignite. I still have a hard time wondering which skill I should max first, My Q, or my E. I'm leaning more towards upgrading my Q because your E is a lot harder to hit them with. I really like what Riot did with his passive, they brought something completely new to LoL by doing this. Another thing they did that I liked is that they gave us the choice to move his Ultimate around, similar to having a pet. Mostly I'm choosing the Augment: Death for my passive. I recommend buying your augment during mid game, where you have an idea of whether you need more AP (Augment: Death), Survivability (Augment: Power), or if you need more mana (Augment: Gravity).
Right now, I'm trying to find a way to get a lot of mana due to the fact that he OOMs (Out of Mana) too quickly, and to get a lot of health because he's squishy. I don't know if I should get Rod of Ages before Archangel's Staff/Tear of The goddess or after. Or maybe if I should only get Rod of Ages. Or maybe I should get Augment: Power for the HP (Health Points) and get an Archangel's staff. I'll have to look into this more and I might make a build here on MobaFire As well. Anyhow, I definitely enjoy playing Viktor, it'll just take some time to get good as him.
Thanks for reading my very first blog on MobaFire and I hope that you enjoyed this and will look forward to my future blogs. Damn, this was a long Blog ^^".
