"Smartcast just means you don't have to click left mouse-button to launch it, so don't have it mixed up with only working on skillshots :) The ability will fire if you have it over an enemy champion or minion."

"I have it reversed. To smartcast I just use Q, W, E, R. To not smartcast I have to hold shift."

"I smartcast on any champion, but if I use it depends on the situation. I might hit 'Q' and leave the ability "hanging" for the right moment, or I will smartcast to do a quick HOLYSHITTHATWASFAST burst in the other d00ds face."
