Orianna can be played On-hit, it works
I was joining a party with my friends one day, I had decided to pick a random champion,
who would have though it would change the way I play League of Legends for ever....
It had locked in Orianna - The Lady Of Clockwork, I played her as anybody else would ability power and some health taking up middle lane.
The next game I had gotten quite bored of playing just another ability power champion, so I looked at her spells carefully and took note of the passive armor and magic resistance her ability Command:Protect gives. That's I was sure I had found the hidden potential of Orianna, the potential to be a tank. I would buy boots first building it into Ninja Tabi or Mercury's Treads followed by Sunfire cape, Frozen Heart, Guardian Angel, Randuin's Omen and Thornmail in any order I saw fit. For skills I would take Command:Protect and max it first, then I would take all skills by level 3, maxing Command:Dissonance second and Command:Attack last. This had worked for a couple games winning roughly 5 of 9.
That was until I had a good look at Orianna's Passive and noticed the 20% increase in damage which stacks twice, and said to myself "I can work with this!" I set up a rune page mimicking a malady Marks and Seals of Attack Speed totalling to 22.14% Attack Speed, Quintessences and Glyphs of Ability Power totalling to 25.56 Ability Power. In-Game I would buy boots and rush a malady to greatly increase my on-hit potential. After buying Berserker's Greaves I was dealing great amounts of on-hit damage with about 56.7AP for skill use and roughly +101% attack speed, and malady would increase my On-Hit magical damage by 20 and reducing their magical resistance to further increase my damage potential. The 2 items cost 2.745 in total, on average I'd have these items by 7-15 minutes in often grabbing first blood. At the time I took Heal and Flash, now I take surge and Flash, My next items would be Ionic Spark greatly increasing my damage dealt and Survivability, The passive effect increased my farming capabilities greatly. The items that followed were Rylai's Crystal Scepter, Rabadon's Deathcap, and Zhonya's Hourglass or Rod of Ages. Even though this build proved to be effective and strong, it was too similar to the usual High Ability Power Builds.
This had led me to begin trying new build paths, luckily The answer was right around the corner, I would Counter Build! This is where I'm at now; On-hit Countering.

p.s I've seen many on-hit builds for Orianna which were either troll builds or plain right fail, please give me your thoughts.
Thank you
