Welcome to 2DEE, or Dante Didn't Expect ELO. This will be an in depth look into my games and why I lost/won, and how I can use the game to my further advantage. I'm looking to better myself, and the only way to get out of this hole is to find a way to capitalize on my mistakes and successes. This is very much for myself, but your criticism, analysis, support, and so on would be fantastic. If you don't want to read it all, I'll add a synopsis at the end of the page with the basic info. Thanks for reading!

First Glance
I honestly thought we'd lose this game from the beginning. Our captain, for lack of better word, was a jackass. The jungle role was taken, so I asked for top, but not only did he take top, but he intentionally banned my ADC being as that was the only role not taken. But outside of the conduct within the team, I felt Katarina was a fair choice since the hard CC on the other team was lacking in hard CC and having an Alistar support to help displace them enough for a permaslow would allow some easy harass, if not kills. But regardless of our champion choices, the attitudes of the summoners were absolutely terrible.

Olaf (T)
Blitzcrank (S)
Karthus (M)
Tristana (ADC)
Master Yi (J)

First Glance
You know you're in ELO Hell when the Master Yi players are plentiful and common. Outside of Yi, they have a nice spread of champions. I think Olaf was anticipating Jax in the top lane, but being as he's chase dependent, Singed makes a good counter against him. However, Tristana being a primarily late game champ and Blitzcrank to help get her fed to make it there I felt would make it a challenging lane, with or without Alistar. Karthus, although he didn't have hard CC to help answer to Katarina, would have a safe farm since he could push Katarina out so easily if she ever tried to harass. It seemed like it would be a difficult game.

Pre-Minions
We set up a point defense at major entry points to our jungle. No sight of them at all; I think they may have gone straight to lane since they all appeared fairly quickly once the minions made it to the lane.

Lane Phase
To put it bluntly, every lane won. Singed gave up first blood to Olaf and Master Yi due to an exhaust, but they very shortly retaliated with two kills after a Jax counterganked just a couple minutes later. Katarina never allowed Karthus to farm despite his defile making Shunpo not so easy a harass, and killed him solo twice alone. In fact, I don't think she died at all during the lane phase. My lane was entirely too easy. Fantastic displacement from Alistar lead to three kills easy. we cleared the lane as well as Yi as he came to cover it. The game's highlight (from my perspective) came as I escaped with only ~50 hp as Olaf and Yi came down for a four man gank. However, Jax came down once I threw back the ult allowing for an ace (Karthus was taken down just shortly before).

Mid/Late Game:
When it comes down to it, their game revolved around Requiem. Without them, not a single kill would have been secured. It turns out Tristana had been so shut down and underfarmed that her damage was almost nothing (by the point all the tier ones had been taken down, I had an Infinity Edge, Zeal, and Berserker Greaves compared to her Berserker Greaves and a BF Sword).

Although no surrender was called, we only needed to push for easy kills before the game was won. Nothing to report, really, other than I really need to not underestimate Reckless Swing (the primary cause of my death in conjunction with Karthus)

Done Differently
I really just don't play AD Carries. However, even if I do have to play an AD Carry, I do need to be in the habit of grabbing wards. Because Alistar and Jax placed almost no wards all game, we were blind most the game and I should have taken it upon myself to grab them when I saw the issue. In addition, I failed quite a lot at freezing the lane and getting last hits; throughout the entire lane phase the lane was pushed one way or another. I also know I missed upwards of 30 in the first eight minutes or so due to poor timing. However, the kills made up for it to some extent.

Game Summary:
Fairly easy game. Early advantage went to enemy Olaf due to first blood, but constant presence from Jax earned it back and each lane was won with ease.
The game was probably over by about 15:00 when we prematurely ended the lane phase and pushed down the two mid turrets. Although they did manage to pick up a couple stray kills, we made it through each lane without answer. In the end, we won with no more than 12 collective deaths and all inhibitors down without ever taking Baron (although we had dragon right after it spawned every time).

Maybe I'm not as bad at this as I thought.
