"So you're telling me that building AP on a champ with one AP scaling skill that is only a 20% scale is a good idea? If you want to do something similar to this that actually works do only a little bit of magic pen such as sorc shoes and liandry's. Then go full tank."

Why build stinger just to sell it?
Machete start is better. 5 pots=750 health, doran's start: 5 health per attack does not come close to the machete start, not to mention you will clear camps more quickly with machete. (Do the math if you want)
