You are getting AP which can help with your harass and helps buff your Prismatic Barrier albeit by small amounts because of the ratio.
One thing I have found out reading guides about her you want max cooldown reduction. One good suggestion is Morello's "

"Wow cool guide! I'm happy how you have a support build and actually max the support skill (Prismatic Barrier) first. All of the other guides I've seen that have a support build (includes Clairvoyance as a summoner spell) all max Prismatic Barrier last just like the damage builds.
