"Attack speed is over-rated, it's max CDR that gets you those double and triple kills. Burst damage is best, not DPS. I've included an attack speed build for people who want it, my opinion is it used to be good on Jax but it's not so good since the Patch 6.9 changes.

"Some people run with Fervor of Battle keystone, it works OK with Jax high attack speed and empowered auto-attack. Main reason I don't take that is that Thunderlords is a lot more help in early trading, and that's when Jax needs most help. Also I like the 5% CDR in the Cunning tree.

"Before Patch 6.6 a good number of Shyvana players used to max E 2nd, because levelling it up added damage and reduced the cooldown. Before Patch 6.6, levelling up Q only made a small difference, like from 80-85-90-95-100% of AD.
