"If you want a "DPS" Nasus, just build an Infinity Edge, then build all tank items.
Q doesn't scale well with AD compared to how much you can just farm it.
The whole concept of Nasus in the current style of play is to get super tanky, and do massive damage with your Siphoning Strike.

Shall we compare Warmog's Armor to Will of the Ancients?
Will of the Ancients gives you 80 ap, 25% spell vamp, and gives your whole team 30 ap and 25% spell vamp.
Warmog's Armor gives you 1370 health and 40hp/5.
