Though it still is best to ult when near them as doing otherwise risks your blades missing them entirely.
BTW: a level 6 combo goes as: teleport, Q, ult, W."

"Your R should be combined with your teleport and Q, so that you dump at least 3 blades on your opponent when sending the blades in and out.
Of course it can also be used just for its invis if you want to escape, or just really want to ensure you get a kill on a low health target."
