AP Soraka with 40% CDR (and a total 45 CS in a 30 minute game) will have better heals than support Soraka with 40% CDR...

The only defensive item that won't get you focused is a GA (at least in my ELO and BV gets you ability spammed because the casters are like "POP THAT SHIT!").
