"Very situational and sucks balls late game. He beats some top laners that can't deal with his early damage output but as far as I can tell he also loses to quite a few.
Also, Irelia lower tier than Garen? I feel like you're heavily underestimating her.

"I picked up irelia lately and I did some testing with different setups. I'd definitely recommend running 21/9/0 masteries because it allows irelia to spike harder during the mid game (which is her power spike already) and mentioning armor quints for hard matchups vs someone like renekton. "

"By the way, you could touch the double lifesteal item build (skip a defensive item for blade of the ruined king). A lot of LCS players seem to like it against champions like shyvana as long as the enemy doesn't have big burst. "
