"I am not quite sure. I think all rules need runes to some good extent. Supports can run without the right rune setup but I don't know how that goes of you don't have runes at all. Junglers are probably hurt the most without runes though. "

I would always use flat mr over scaling ap, unless the enemy literally has 0 ap damage.
Liandry's is a sucky item on ahri
I always rush DFG and usually follow it up with a zhonya's, especially vs ad assasins. I also get a double dorans to not have mana problems
