"I use the 0/21/9 setup. Don't use armor quintessences but the rest is the same.
I'm not sure about the mana regen though, seems like he would benefit from that when not having blue but I'm not sure whether it's better than good hands or the movement speed masteries"

"Sure, you should not push and you should lasthit. But that doesn't mean you don't use abilities to farm does it? Karthus will surely use Lay Waste to farm, Morgana uses Tormented Soil, Malzahar uses his Malefic Visions etc.
Even champs that don't have great farming abilities"

"Both 9/0/21 and 0/0/30 work for supports, it's just that not all supports really need things like movement speed from the utility tree. It doesn't hurt, of course.
Only champions I have problems with atm are tank solo top laners like Cho'gath and Galio, guess 9/21/0 or 0/21/9 would be opt"
