About This Team Comp

Hello everyone! It seems my Light-Warden build was a pretty big hit from last patch, and I'm hoping you all enjoyed it. After theorycrafting, I decided to try a new take on Wardens. I realized the units themselves are very strong and synergize well with many other origins, so why not take a spin at it?

First your Pros:
- Tanky Bois
- Super strong against anything not Mage/Desert
- Gives you 2 Hyper Carry potentials and a super meaty Braum to counter Olaf's (Will Explain Further Later)
- Very few other people build some of these units, so 3-starring them is relatively easy

Cons:
- Lack of damage without proper items on your carries
- Lack of game-swinging abilities (No power plays)
- Loses very hard to ability-focused teams and Desert comps

The team is very fun and compared to some other comps begins with a strong push considering warden's extra armor is a boon at all points in the game. Early game autos are weak, mid-game you counter most comps that need the ball rolling late, and late game your carries are in full force and are picking up the slack for your potential counters in the front. As I've said before, enjoy and good luck for those of you that like your Never-Dying/Stunning Front :)

Early game #1

Early Build gives Electric, Glacial, and 3 Wardens. This gives you some damage output through electric and tankiness through 3 of your beefy bois. Thresh lantern keeps your guys alive for a long period of time and Volibear's ability provides a decent chunk of damage in the beginning. If you can find Nautilus over Thresh, feel free to pick based on your preferences. From here, just accumulate gold and survive towards the mid game. GOOD ITEM PICK-UPS: -Giant's Belt-Chain Vest-Recurve Bow-B.F. Sword

Early game #2

Ocean Wardens provide extreme tankiness early game with an extreme lack of damage. I'd recommend starting with this build if you see a lack of Mage players or a vast amount of Light builds or Berserker builds popping up. Remember to save your gold and to look for the above listed items when possible from Carousel.

mid game build #1

Introducing your 2 carries, Ezreal and Olaf. Glacial's have reached 4 at this point so opposing units will start getting useless and your Olaf/Ezreal will provide the damage your frontline is otherwise lacking. Ezreal stays in the backline punishing opposing tanks with Giant Slayer and Olaf does Olaf things with Rageblade..(Please get Rageblade). At 7 units, either toss in your missing Olaf/Ezreal or your 4th Warden. The choice is up to you which you want to finish first, the 4th glacial or 4th warden. Build according to other player's compositions and see which is worth gunning for earlier. At this point you still only have 3 wardens, so your frontline will not be as tanky. Please consider this when deciding to go for Build #1 or #2, as it's whether you prefer the earlier damage or prefer the additional surge of tankiness for your front. If you get early 2-star Olaf, I'd say go for #1 as the damage output he provides along with lvl 4 glacial is insane.

mid game build #2

4 Warden mid-game build which adds in Ocean. You can rush this if you're finding other auto-attack reliant teams popping up. I RUSH THIS IF SOMEONE BUILDS AN OLAF CARRY. Getting the Olaf on your Braum can funny enough make the Olaf suicide in certain situations. Thornmail with Warmog's gives Braum enough Regen and Return damage to counter-act Olaf's lifesteal and ludicrous AS. I can't tell you how many games people can't deal with him and then I just see him bee-line for my Braum and I can grin in satisfaction seeming him nuke himself. Ezreal maintains his role as a carry character and your Braum stays alive for way too long to let him stay in the fight. The other units provide CC, Glacial freezes, and shields to keep the fight going for quite a long time. You only have 3 glacials at this point, but getting your Olaf is next in line for your composition.

end game build #1

Why the Sion? First question I'm sure you've asked. Berserker Glacials provide the opportunity to freeze everything behind them. Now let that click in your mind with a Ragnarok empowered Rageblade Olaf. Yes, you heard that right. Nothing Moves. Nothing Breaths. Nothing Lives. (But Lunar?? What if they have a super tanky/CC frontline?) Well Anon, let me tell you why Giant Slayer Ezreal is a thing. Ezreal provides backline support that avoids heavy CC from things like Malphite, Sion, and helps shred through oppossing Olaf's or Never-Dying Vladimir's. Your team is tanky and has heavy CC with Shields, your Olaf and Ezreal are nuking everything around them, and your Braum and other Wardens sit steadfast in the frontline keeping the whole castle together. The team has such amazing synergy that it is versatile against nearly any composition, simply due to the fact that it does just enough of everything that it can deal with anything (Except Desert :))I have seen a large success with this composition in practice. DO NOTE, that in order for this composition to fully succeed, it is extremely reliant on getting the correct items. Warmog's and Thornmail are absolutely crucial for your Braum, as is Rageblade on Olaf and Giant Slayer on Ezreal (If they also have tanky frontline). Remember to focus for items you're missing in the carousel and to be conservative on gold. Remember some of these characters are very rarely picked up in compositions, such as Ornn or Braum, which make 3-starring them extremely easy. Go ham in the late game and get those 3-stars a' glowing.
