His lore was a gag/joke lore for when the game was first released. I mean he was a comic relief sort of deal. They should've DEFINITELY have reconsidered reworking his lore if they were to do something like this.
I'm amazed that stories like this actually jerk tears out of people. Goes to show the power of easily appealed fans.
This sort of **** is comparable to Pokemon the First Movie in writing quality (aka, a bloobloo everyone hates me and imma randomly kill everything)
