There's no real difference between platinum and diamond, except diamonds tend to be less greedy and don't go on tilt as easily. In terms of mechanics and decision making, they're pretty similar, diamonds are just more consistent with it.

Okay I will have that In mind! :) Thanks

Joxuu. I am really glad you reviewed my play style and also came with things I should work on. I can see the things that I do wrong in that video (the things you commented on), which I think is good. That I can at least see my wrongs and also rights. I am not the best riven player. But I have become a lot better lately. Atm I usually go for Dorans Blade at beginning (depends on match up) then brutelizer, then often Bloodthirster. What do you think about that? Anyway thank you so much for such a nice post.

I liked your item build in the video you posted except for missing the Last Whisper. I would've gotten it before getting the black cleaver.

I left some thoughts on the video you posted already, but I figured you posted that because you're a top main. Guess not :P

It does raise a question though: which roles other than mid would you say you are comfortable playing? I'd advise you to have at least three you can play comfortably (especially if you want to climb as high as you do), possibly even more.

I just watched your laning phase. What bothered me most is the lack of using your passive. You mostly did a triple Q instead of adding basic attacks. Against a better opponent you'll have a harder time winning this way.

Brings me to my next point: No animation cancelling on your Q. You'll have to practice that to get the most out of Riven. (Although I heard Riot's changing her Q to an automated animation cancel, we'll see about that I guess)

Good luck reaching Diamond :)
(Check out my guides, they're linked to their pictures!)

If I helped you in any way, that +REP is always nice^^

Exactly my point, you can't play riven once every 500 games and expect to do well, unless you are playing for fun and don't care about result. I'm not riven player, but one friend who i play with daily mains her, so i picked up some things from him. I know that Q + auto attack is hard, but better start practicing if you want to be good riven. I haven't seen you ever use E+q or e+q or e+any spell for instant animation.

There are so many little things that irked me in your beginning laning phase. Instead of pushing for faster level 2 to bully jax, you played passively and you hit melee minions instead of ranged.
Somewhere around 5h minute you make a point that riven is manaless champions and that you should feel free to spam spells, I think that's wrong. With riven, you want to punish enemy's every wrong step, having in mind you went with ignite, you should have looked for every oportunity to kill jax, not to have farm lane.

The thing is, if you use spells on farming, you are pushing the wave, giving him free farm and experience and you are also losing lane presence.

I noticed that you sometimes take unnecessary damage while farming, you'll move around melee minions and then ranged minions will aggro you and you'll take 50 damage that you shouldn't have taken.

At 7:30 aproximately, you went back first time, you bought items, bought boots instead of extra long sword, but I guess it's matter of preference and then you had 300 gold left, you went back into lane with 0 potions, 0 wards and 300 gold that will not help you in any way. My point is, in early game, you should always have health potions and wards, no point in saving gold if you die.

At 8:00 you start watching fight around mid lane, notice that you don't have tp, you are freezing lane (and taking minion damage again), have 0 intention of going mid to help, so why waste time watching, also you missed 2-3 cs while watching them, you can only get frustrated if you see your team dying all over the place and making bad plays.

At 9:30 you finally remember to buy pots and wards, gj, you already improved.
At 10 something, viktor comes for the bad gank, but lucky you, jax wastes his E under tower. At that moment you should have done the E+Q+R combo and engage on him, but you hesitated a bit, he almost escaped.

Holy ****, I didn't notice that you are doing live commentary in your game. I strongly advise you against that, there were moments when you weren't 100% focused on the game, you let viktor die and noticed ahri 5 seconds after she appeared.

When you destroyed your tower, your laning phase is over, after that you should play by your experience, it's up to you. I didn't watch the rest of the video.

I focused on all bad plays I noticed, there are many correct things you do, but I didn't bother pointing them out, just keep doing them.
Good luck.

I agree with you. I have played a lot of games with Riven lately, and have gotten much better at this. But won't stop practice! :)
Maybe I will upload another video soon and post it here, so you guys can see if I am doing something better. If you don't mind.
Thanks for feedback! I might be able with some much good tips

Vaan99, I glad you focused on the things I did wrong, because then the rest is okay ^^ There are so many things I can answer here, but I will just say that I read the whole thing and will use the tips you gave me. About that live commentary. The reason I am doing that is, because I feel I am more "in it", if you know what I mean? I can just mention this if I haven't done it already: I started with commentaries under 1 weak ago. I do them in ranked because I think that is the most fun. But maybe as you say you advice me against doing that. Could it be better do that in Normal Game (Draft). Because then you don't have think so much about winning to get them LP. What you think about that? Thanks for your feedback anyway! Loads of good info!

I will take a look at that! Thanks. Btw I would say mid and top is definitely my best. But can do others decent :) Its like hard to say actually what my best lane is. With some mid champs, mid is my best and strongest lane. Anyway, I feel that in overall I do really good as both top and mid.

If we are going to put aside mid. I would say top and jungle :) I will think about that. Try practicing more roles more often. Can't get mid or top at all times :D
