Champion Review: Shen

He's just a bit slow, but his ganking power is reasonable and he can ultimate from out of nowhere. He popped up in the ESL, if you remember. Rammus is also a strong tank that provides team defense. Galio and Malphite are decent as well. Overall, what makes Shen so incredibly strong and such a common ban choice is his mobility. Say you're waiting to have a fight at Baron, but nobody's making a move. Shen doesn't have to be there - he free-farms and pushes bottom, gaining XP, potentially taking out towers. This forces the opponent to either retreat to answer Shen and lose Baron, or to force a fight on Baron during which Shen will simply ult in. While the same goes for Pantheon and Twisted Fate, neither are that good in late-game fights, while Shen remains an incredibly potent tank. A++.[/quote]
